We presume that there are certain churches that have become supereffective in one or more of the practices that lead to positive change among unreached peoples. The problem is – how would we know it? We fear that few churches have made it a passion to spread proactively their case study or new-found resource(s). For example, suppose we learn that a church in Bloomington-Normal, IL, has now developed an effective 9-month plan to disciple would-be harvesters. Unless they happen to be vocal about their practices, churches even in that same region (and town) might never hear about one church’s triumphs.
But now, with the Five Loaves initiative, we are building bridges, designing strategic and intentional networks, and asking specific staff people to focus on these activities of networking, resource-building, and resource-sharing. Finally, there is hope.
