What if we prayed the prayed to the Lord of the Harvest, asking for harvesters, and what if he answered? What would that look like? What would be the result?
Asking this question to a dozen Refocus groups across the Midwest has usually resulted in a huge pregnant pause. Then, if we wait long enough, someone in the group finally ventures, “Well, would-be missionaries would step up to volunteer.”
If we prayed that, and if God did that, and if they did that, would we be ready for them? Whom would they ask? And what would they say? (Would they have the nerve to climb the walls of any infrastructure we had unintentionally created?) And, would we be listening?
